Plain words for the Customer:
- Your scheme is with the store, not with SchemeBook. The store runs your scheme, decides its rules, receives your payments and owes you the benefit. SchemeBook is the software the store uses.
- Your payment is an advance towards buying something from the store. It is not a deposit, not an investment and not a chit. No interest is paid.
- Your money goes straight to the store. When you pay by UPI, the money settles from your bank to the store's bank account through Setu. SchemeBook never holds it.
- Your passbook is your proof. Every payment has a receipt number. If the passbook and the store's records ever differ, ask the store and show the receipt.
- Your data. The store holds your name, phone, address, scheme and payment history to run your scheme, and SchemeBook processes it on the store's behalf. You get OTPs, reminders and receipts on WhatsApp (SMS if WhatsApp fails). To stop reminders, tell the store or reply STOP. To see, correct or delete your data, ask the store first; if they do not respond, write to hello@schemebook.app.
- Logging in. Phone number and OTP only. Never share the OTP. The portal locks after 5 wrong attempts.
- Payment links sent to you on WhatsApp open without login. A failed payment is never marked as paid, so it is safe to retry. If the link has expired, ask the store for a fresh one.
- Disputes. For anything about your scheme — amount due, bonus, early exit, maturity — contact the store. For a problem with the app itself, contact SchemeBook at hello@schemebook.app.
Governing law: India. SchemeBook's liability to a Customer is limited to what cannot be excluded by law; the store is responsible for the scheme.
